354k Jeeps Recalled Worldwide for Detachable Rear Coil Springs
Stellantis is recalling over 354,000 Jeeps worldwide due to the risk of rear coil springs falling off while driving, which could cause a crash and create a hazard for other drivers. The recall covers certain 2022 and 2023 Grand Cherokee and 2021 to 2023 Grand Cherokee L SUVs, and the issue may be caused by incorrect installation during production. Stellantis is aware of 17 warranty claims, two customer assistance reports, and two field reports related to the problem, but no crashes or injuries have been reported. Dealers will inspect and replace the assemblies if necessary, and owners will be notified by letter starting July 28.
