Baldwin Wallace alumni earns first Tony nomination, while Pulitzer winners dominate Best Play category at 2023 awards.

Colton Ryan, a 2017 graduate of Baldwin Wallace University, has been nominated for a Tony Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical for his role in New York, New York. This is the first individual nomination for an actor from the university's music theatre department. Ryan has also been nominated for other awards this season and has had small roles in TV shows and movies. The Tony Awards will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on June 11.
