"Florida Mandates Communism Education in Public Schools"
Florida Governor Ron DeSantis signed a bill requiring the teaching of the history of communism in public schools, starting from kindergarten, in an effort to educate students about the dangers and evils of communism. The curriculum will be age-appropriate and cover topics such as domestic communist movements, atrocities committed under communism, and a comparative discussion of political ideologies conflicting with the principles of freedom and democracy. The measure was signed on the 63rd anniversary of the Bay of Pigs Invasion, with input sought from victims of communism and organizations dedicated to them, aiming to provide students with firsthand accounts of the history of communism.
