Fair leftovers power hunger-relief network across Minnesota
More than 10,000 pounds of leftover Minnesota State Fair food from 200+ vendors were donated to Second Harvest Heartland and partner food shelves, potentially aiding over 1,000 families. The effort, aided by Freedom Works, The Sanneh Foundation and Loaves and Fishes, marked the fair’s first time consolidating donations at a single pickup point for distribution across Minnesota.
