EU Unveils AI-Generated Content Labels, Watermarks to Start Aug 2
The EU’s AI Act will require labels and digital watermarks on content generated by AI that looks authentic, covering images, audio, and text; new AI systems must comply by August 2, while existing systems get four extra months, with exemptions for personal content and evidently artistic or satirical works; noncompliance can trigger fines of up to 3% of a company’s global revenue.
