Homeowner surrenders concealed carry permit after pleading not guilty in Ralph Yarl shooting case.
Andrew Lester, the 84-year-old man accused of shooting Ralph Yarl after the 16-year-old rang the wrong doorbell, pleaded not guilty to first-degree assault and armed criminal action. He surrendered his concealed carry permit and is not allowed to leave the state or have any contact with Yarl or his family. Lester claimed he feared someone was trying to break into his home and shot Yarl, who sustained life-threatening injuries. The charges carry 10 to 30 years behind bars or life in prison. Yarl is recovering from his injuries.
