K-Pop sensation BLACKPINK honored by King Charles III, boosting UK-South Korea relations
K-Pop band BLACKPINK, consisting of members Rose, Jisoo, Jennie, and Lisa, received honorary Member of the Order of the British Empire (MBE) medals from King Charles during a special investiture ceremony in the presence of South Korean President Yoon Suk Yeol. The band was recognized for their role as COP26 Advocates at the United Nations climate summit in Glasgow. BLACKPINK made history as the first K-pop group to headline a major UK music festival and has become one of the most successful girl groups in the world since their debut in 2016.
