Buckingham Palace released a new portrait featuring King Charles III, Prince William, and Prince George on Coronation Day. The portrait was taken by royal photographer Hugo Burnand and shows King Charles wearing his Robe of Estate and holding the Sovereign's Orb and the Sovereign's Sceptre with Cross. Prince William is outfitted in the ceremonial dress uniform of the Welsh Guards, while Prince George wears a red coat. The portrait was one of two released on Friday, the other featuring King Charles and Queen Camilla with their Pages of Honour and Ladies in Attendance.

"King Charles III's Coronation: What You Need to Know"

Charles and Camilla are set to leave Buckingham Palace in the Diamond Jubilee State Coach for the coronation service at London’s Westminster Abbey. Charles will be crowned around noon local time, followed by a procession from the abbey to Buckingham Palace. The royals are expected to wave from the palace balcony to close out the main events of the day.

Buckingham Palace has released photos of the robes that King Charles III and Camilla, the queen consort, will wear on Coronation Day. Camilla will wear a Robe of State originally made for Queen Elizabeth II, while Charles will wear his grandfather's Robe of State and Robe of Estate. The coronation ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey on May 6, followed by a weekend of events, including a concert at Windsor Castle and a bank holiday on May 8. Prince Harry will attend alone, while Meghan and their children will remain in California.
