Frontier Airlines Expands Nonstop Flights from Cleveland to Montego Bay, Jamaica
Frontier Airlines is adding new twice daily service from Pittsburgh International Airport to Philadelphia, offering cost relief to Western Pennsylvanians who have been seeking cheaper flights due to increasing tolls on the turnpike and limited airline service. Currently, only American Airlines provides service between the two cities, with one-way tickets costing around $290. Frontier will offer introductory rates as low as $19, aiming to meet the demand for cheaper flights. The new flights are expected to generate $72 million in local economic impact and will qualify for subsidies and grants from the state and the Allegheny County Airport Authority.
