
Nevada Man Charged in $45M Crypto Fraud Scheme with Thousands of Victims
Bryan Lee, a Nevada man, has been charged by the US Department of Justice (DOJ) for his alleged role in defrauding 10,000 investors out of $45 million in the CoinDeal investment scheme. Lee worked alongside Neil Chandran and others to mislead investors by promising high returns on the premise that his companies were about to be acquired by a consortium of wealthy buyers. Lee is charged with one count of conspiracy, two counts of mail fraud, one count of wire fraud, and three counts of engaging in monetary transactions in criminally derived property. If convicted, he faces decades in prison.
