Daimler to shutter Portland plant, 375 jobs cut as production moves to Carolinas
Daimler Truck North America announced it will close its Portland manufacturing facility by year-end, laying off about 375 employees as production shifts to facilities in the Carolinas; Portland will remain the company’s headquarters and workers will receive transition assistance, severance, and opportunities to explore internal openings.
