Ex-Texas Ranger backs Talarico in pivotal Senate race
David Maxwell, a decorated former Texas Ranger who reported Ken Paxton to the FBI in 2020, endorsed Democratic state Rep. James Talarico in Texas’s U.S. Senate race; Paxton was impeached by the Texas House in 2023 but acquitted by the Senate, and federal charges were not pursued by the DOJ.
