Keys Sets the Tone as US Open Day 3 Begins Amid Rain Delays
Rain delays on Day 3 of the US Open push matches onto roofs on Ashe and Armstrong, but the action still starts: Madison Keys beats Alina Korneeva 7-5 6-4 on Arthur Ashe, Taylor Fritz leads Darwin Blanch in the opening stages, and Flavio Cobolli is in a tight battle with Francisco Comesana after dropping the first set 6-3. Elena Rybakina faces a path to world No. 1 if she progresses deep, while Mirra Andreeva and other big names are in action as weather and form shape the early rounds.
