Study Reveals America's Worst Drivers: Tennessee, Cleveland, Illinois, and Hartford Rank Among the Lowest
Four cities in Tennessee, including Memphis, Knoxville, Clarksville, and Chattanooga, have been ranked among the top 25 cities with the worst drivers in America, according to a study by ConsumerAffairs. Tennessee had a significantly higher rate of deadly crashes compared to the national average, with 34 deadly crashes per 100,000 people in 2021. The study found that bad driving was the leading cause of deadly crashes in Memphis, with 203 such crashes occurring in the city in 2021.
