The suspect, a deputy director in the women and child development department, has not been arrested yet. The case includes charges of rape, molestation, criminal intimidation, causing hurt, causing miscarriage without consent, and under the Pocso Act. The girl confided in doctors and police officers after being admitted to a hospital for an anxiety attack.
