Dennis Hull, Hawks star known as 'The Silver Jet,' dies at 81
Dennis Hull, a 13-season Chicago Blackhawks left winger and five-time All-Star who scored 640 points (298 goals, 342 assists) for the Hawks and peaked with 90 points in 1972-73, died at age 81. He finished his NHL career with 654 points after a 1977-78 season with the Detroit Red Wings, and was nicknamed 'The Silver Jet'—the brother of Bobby Hull—who helped Chicago reach three Stanley Cup finals (1964, 1970, 1972). Hawks leadership mourned his skill, toughness and warmth.
