Global cardiovascular groups unveiled a universal redefinition and diagnostic guidance for heart attacks, elevating recognition of the forms more common in women—coronary artery spasm, embolism, and spontaneous coronary artery dissection—lowering troponin thresholds for diagnosis, and aiming to reduce gender-based delays and biases in treatment worldwide.
