
Peoria Man Faces Murder Charges in Dice Game Shooting
A Peoria man, Ronnie Simmons, has been charged with first-degree murder, aggravated battery, and unlawful possession of a weapon by a felon after a shooting during a dice game. Simmons allegedly tried to rob the victims at gunpoint after losing money in the game, shooting one victim who later died and injuring another. He was apprehended and a handgun was found in a nearby house. Simmons is currently in custody with a bond set at $1.5 million.
