Attorneys for two suspects charged with second-degree murder in connection to Irvo Otieno's death are asking a judge to prevent the release of surveillance video showing Otieno's final moments. The defense argues that a premature release of video evidence could hinder a fair trial by jury. Commonwealth's Attorney Ann Baskervill had planned to release the video after a grand jury hearing. Otieno died during an intake process at Central State Hospital, and videos show he was smothered while face-down in handcuffs and leg irons.
