A shouting match erupted between an NYPD judge and a lawyer for the city's police watchdog after the judge ruled to toss trespassing charges against two officers involved in a fatal 2019 shooting in The Bronx. The officers still face allegations of unjust use of force and failure to render medical aid. The trial continued with the CCRB lawyers and police union attorney giving their opening statements, and videos from the shooting were shown. The trial will resume on Tuesday with the testimony of the city medical examiner who performed the autopsy on the victim.
