Tragic Suicide at Farnell Middle School Shocks Community
A divorced and disgruntled man took his own life in front of two students at Farnell Middle School in Tampa, Florida. The man, who has not been publicly identified, initially appeared in the drop-off line for the school's early start program before walking towards the back of the school and shooting himself in the head. The students, showing bravery, immediately ran to the office to report the incident. The school went into lockdown, and law enforcement responded swiftly. The man's ex-wife, who works at the school, is believed to be the target of his actions. Student and staff safety was threatened, but no other injuries were reported. Counseling is being provided to the traumatized students.
