
Late Rep. Donald Payne Jr. Posthumously Wins NJ Primary
Rep. Donald Payne Jr. won the Democratic primary in New Jersey's 10th Congressional District posthumously, having died over a month ago from complications related to diabetes and high blood pressure. A special primary election is scheduled for July 16, followed by a special general election on September 18 to fill his seat. The Democratic county chairs have until August 29 to name a replacement for the November ballot.
