Dr. Ashish Jha, the White House Covid-19 Response coordinator, is leaving the administration. Jha led the nationwide rollout and distribution of vaccines, treatments, and medical supplies, and was a public messenger for the administration on public health concerns. President Biden praised Jha's contributions to public service and thanked him for his work. The White House was expected to disband its coronavirus response team after the Covid-19 public health emergency ended on May 11.
