Ohio Church Successfully Hosts Drag Events Despite Threats and Arson Attack
Only one protester showed up for a drag story hour at a local church in Chesterland, Ohio, while a small group of protestors arrived for a drag brunch at Element 41 restaurant in Chardon. A bomb threat was called in to the restaurant, but attendees were subjected to metal detection and explosive-detecting dogs, and the threat was deemed not credible. Law enforcement from several police departments and the Geauga County Sheriff’s Office were deployed to ensure safety. The events were organized by The Fairmount Group, which coordinated security and was pleased with the way things went throughout the day.
