Ceasefire Countdown Shadowed by Deadly Ukrainian Attacks
Russian drone and missile strikes across Ukraine killed at least 26 and wounded more than 80 just hours before Kyiv announced a ceasefire to begin later this week, hitting cities including Kramatorsk, Zaporizhzhia, Chernihiv and Dnipro and damaging gas facilities in Poltava and Kharkiv; Zelenskyy said Ukraine would observe the ceasefire and respond in kind, while Moscow had separately announced its own pause for Friday and Saturday.
