A 14-year-old missing teen from Eaton, Indiana, was found safe by an Eaton officer at Hartford and Harris Street. The teen was transported to IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital ER to be checked out as a precaution. The family is cooperating with the investigation, and the teen has been placed in a safe environment with the assistance of Delaware County CPS.
The Eaton Police Department has denied rumors that human remains were found in the search for 14-year-old Scottie Morris, who has been missing since March 16. The police department dispatched officers to an "area of interest" on Thursday night but did not find any human remains. The search for Morris continues, with police and residents combing through wooded areas and empty homes. A statewide Silver Alert remains in effect, and the community held a candlelight prayer vigil on Thursday night. Anyone with information should contact the Eaton Police Department or call 911.
