Deadline reports the first trailer for Digger, Tom Cruise’s new film directed by Alejandro G. Iñárritu, in which Cruise transforms into Digger Rockwell, a blunt, aging oil baron tasked by a president to avert a looming ecological disaster. Shot in VistaVision, the film is pitched as a Dr. Strangelove-like satire for a Trump-era world and is set to hit theaters Oct. 2, following a CinemaCon reveal.
