Switch 2 Patch Expands Mario Kart 8 Deluxe With Eight-Player Local Racing, Faster Loads
Nintendo’s Mario Kart 8 Deluxe on Switch 2 gets a major update: local multiplayer now supports up to eight racers (with seven Switch 1 controllers plus one Switch 2 Pro Controller or Joy‑Con 2), faster load times and higher resolution on Switch 2 and TVs, USB camera support in Online Play and Local Play (four players with cameras), all players’ speeds increased by the equivalent of one coin, Boo immune to slow-down off-road, and Booster Course DLC VS Races expanded to 96 courses.
