Clown-costume stabbing during a surprise visit kills 78-year-old man in East St. Louis
A 78-year-old man, John Wesley Allen, was fatally stabbed by a 15-year-old in a clown costume during what authorities call a random attack in East St. Louis. Allen, a retired bus driver, was reportedly visiting his sister unannounced when he was killed. Authorities say there are no known prior connections between victim and suspect, and the teen has been charged as the Illinois State Police lead the investigation.
