ICE to equip officers with shock-glove tech for field compliance
The Department of Homeland Security plans to spend $10–$20 million to outfit ICE officers with the CTG-5 GLOVE, a rechargeable glove that emits electrical pulses to stimulate nerves and gain compliance in use-of-force scenarios, with devices slated for officers in DHS’s criminal investigations and Enforcement Removal Operations; DHS says it continuously assesses field needs to safely arrest and remove unlawfully present individuals.
