Mater Dei High School in Santa Ana, California, has secured the top spot in the Preseason MaxPreps Top 25 high school football rankings, thanks to 10 returning starters on defense and senior quarterback Elijah Brown. The team has achieved five consecutive top-three national finishes and is led by new head coach Frank McManus, who takes over from Bruce Rollinson.
