Rhys Caps Emmys Night by Winning Two Lead Acting Awards for Widow’s Bay
Matthew Rhys made Emmy history by winning best actor in a comedy for Widow’s Bay after previously taking the lead actor prize in a limited series, becoming the first performer to win lead acting Emmys across all three genres and the first man to win two lead-acting trophies in a single night; he thanked showrunner Katie Dippold and director Hiro Marai, celebrated industry colleagues and his Welsh roots, and Widow's Bay has been renewed for a second season.
