
Thyroid tablet recall flags potential overpotency; check your lot
Vitruvias Therapeutics is recalling one lot of its 30 mg Thyroid Tablets, USP after FDA testing found the batch could be superpotent, potentially causing hyperthyroid symptoms such as weight loss, heat intolerance, fatigue and hypertension. The recalled product is labeled Thyroid Tablets, USP with expiration Sept. 30, 2026 and National Drug Code 69680-166-00, lot number 504950, distributed nationwide Jan. 31–Sept. 30, 2025; about 3,600 units were released (roughly 1,900 sold).
