Snake Finds Its Way Into Arkansas High School Football Helmet During Practice
A Maumelle High School football player in Arkansas discovered a two-foot venomous cottonmouth inside his helmet during practice. Police poured water into the headgear to coax the snake out, and animal services relocated the snake to a wooded area. The player continued practice with a replacement helmet, and the coach reminded players to thoroughly inspect equipment for any intruders.
