NC State Lands on Two National Rankings After Vanderbilt Collapse
NC State football is now ranked No. 5 in ESPN's Bottom 10 and No. 1 in The Athletic's list of most average Power Four programs following a 1-2 record. The team lost to Vanderbilt on a late fumble by quarterback CJ Bailey, a result that triggered immediate national criticism. While ESPN's ranking focuses on the specific game collapse, The Athletic's assessment highlights a broader pattern of mediocrity. NC State is set to face Appalachian State on September 26.
