Google Discovers Multiple Severe Security Vulnerabilities in Popular Android Phones

Google has discovered 18 severe security vulnerabilities in Samsung's Exynos chips, affecting a wide range of Android smartphones, wearables, and vehicles. Four of the flaws could be exploited remotely to completely compromise a phone without requiring any user interaction, while the remaining 14 require a rogue mobile network insider or an attacker with local access to the device. Users are recommended to switch off Wi-Fi calling and Voice over LTE (VoLTE) in their device settings until patches are released.
