Intel's Massive Investment in Chip Fabs Expands to Germany and Israel.
Intel plans to invest over $50 billion in new production capacities in Europe and the Middle East, including two fabs in Germany and a new fab in Israel. The company will also construct a new advanced packaging facility in Poland. The new facilities will significantly increase Intel's manufacturing capacities and allow for future expansion. The German fab will initially cost €30 billion and will make chips on an 'Angstrom-era' node, while the Israeli fab is set to start production in 2027 and is expected to operate until at least 2035.
