Family Stone Sequel Officially Titled The Families Stone With Returning Cast
Searchlight has officially titled the Family Stone sequel The Families Stone and is bringing back stars including Rachel McAdams and Sarah Jessica Parker, with Tom Bezucha returning as writer-director. The project, first revealed in November 2025 after Diane Keaton’s passing, follows the Stone family twenty years after their mother’s death as the father brings the woman he’s fallen in love with to meet them; co-stars include Claire Danes, Dermot Mulroney, Luke Wilson, Elizabeth Reaser, Paul Schneider and Brian White. The original 2005 film opened to $12 million and earned about $92 million worldwide.
