TurboTax Settlement Pays Out Millions to Residents Across Multiple States
Intuit TurboTax will pay $141 million to 4.4 million customers, including 465,000 Texans, who were "misled" into paying for federal tax returns that should have been free through the IRS Free File Program. Eligible customers will receive payment by check automatically throughout May, with most qualifying Texans estimated to receive between $28 or $29 depending on the number of tax years they qualify for.
