"Return to Nature Funeral Home Owners Arrested by FBI and Returned to Jail in Colorado"
Jon and Carie Hallford, owners of the Return to Nature Funeral Home, have been arrested by the FBI and are back in jail on a federal warrant, facing 260 criminal charges including abuse of a corpse, money laundering, forgery, and theft for improperly storing nearly 200 decomposing bodies at their Penrose funeral home from 2019-2023. Their arraignment has been re-scheduled for Jun. 6, and their trial date is set for Oct. 8. No new active criminal case has yet been filed against them in federal court.
