Mollie O'Callaghan Shatters Records at World Aquatics Championships
Mollie O'Callaghan has broken Federica Pellegrini's world record in the women's 200 freestyle at the 2023 World Championships, swimming a time of 1:52.85. O'Callaghan is now the second woman to swim under 1:53.00 in the event. She shaved nearly a full second off her previous best time and became the first swimmer to officially surpass Pellegrini's legendary mark.
