PS5 Pro gains default PSSR 2.0 upscaling in 14.0 firmware
Sony’s PS5 firmware 14.0, currently in beta, is expected to include a refreshed PSSR 2.0 upscaling on the PS5 Pro by default at the system level, potentially improving image quality in games without requiring patches; the standard PS5 will still receive 14.0 but without the upgraded PSSR. The update also changes Bluetooth rest-mode behavior and HDMI Link, plus general stability and performance improvements, with a public rollout anticipated later in September.
