Sega is reviving Crazy Taxi with World Tour, a refreshed, open-world take led by creator Kenji Kanno that adds a story mode and bite-sized diversions like a pizza-delivery mission and a taxi-based fishing game. The demo showed a lively, traffic-filled city with night variants and an off-the-clock option to keep driving. A soundtrack aimed at recapturing the late-1990s vibe is planned, and the game is targeting a 2027 launch with no firm date yet.
