Police shoot armed man at Ford Wayne Stamping Plant, leaving him in critical condition.
A man was shot and wounded by police outside the Ford Wayne Stamping Plant after he allegedly pointed a gun at officers. The man was not authorized to be on the property and brandished a weapon when asked to show his hands. Following the shooting, law enforcement officers "immediately began to render aid" to the wounded man, who was transported to a local hospital and listed in critical condition. The Michigan State Police are investigating the incident, and Ford is cooperating with the investigation.
