Athlete Charged with Murder of Girlfriend and Unborn Fetus
Former Arkansas State University football player Blaise A. Taylor was arrested in Utah on two counts of first-degree murder in connection with the 2023 fatal poisoning of his girlfriend, 25-year-old Jade Benning, and her unborn baby. Benning died on her 25th birthday, two days after her unborn fetus passed away. Taylor, who is believed to be the baby's father, had moved to Utah after their deaths and was working at Utah State University. The Metro Nashville Police Department is working with Utah authorities to arrange for Taylor's return to Nashville.
