Convicted: NYC 'Wolverine' Guilty of Attempted Murder in Attack on BLM Protesters
Frank Cavalluzzi, also known as the 'Queens Wolverine,' has been convicted of attempted murder and assault after attempting to drive his vehicle into a group of Black Lives Matter protesters and threatening them with a four-blade knife-claw. The incident occurred on June 2, 2020, in Whitestone, New York. Cavalluzzi was found guilty on multiple charges, including attempted murder, assault, menacing, and possession of a weapon. He faces up to 25 years in prison and is scheduled to be sentenced on October 13. Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz hailed the conviction as a victory for justice and the First Amendment. Cavalluzzi has a history of run-ins with the law and had expressed anger towards the protests on social media prior to the attack.
