Sam Bankman-Fried's Trial: A Year Later, FTX Holdings Soar
A year after the downfall of Sam Bankman-Fried's crypto empire, FTX Holdings, the parent company of FTX exchange, is showing signs of recovery. Despite being in bankruptcy court, FTX's reorganization is estimated to return an average of 37 cents on the dollar to creditors, with the value of the bankruptcy estate increasing by $1 billion due to the rally in Solana's native token SOL. FTX holds a significant amount of SOL tokens, which could lead to a higher recovery for creditors if the price continues to rise. However, most of the tokens are locked until 2027 or 2028. Additionally, discussions are underway to reopen the FTX exchange to generate more funds for creditors.
