Royal Caribbean Cancels Alaska Cruise, Offers Full Refunds and Credits to Disappointed Guests
Royal Caribbean canceled the Serenade of the Seas’ seven‑night Alaska sailing that was set to depart Vancouver on Aug. 30 due to maintenance issues, leaving guests to adjust travel plans. While aboard, passengers could use amenities as they arranged flights home, and all booked guests were offered a full refund, kept onboard credits, a future cruise credit equal to 100% of the cruise fare, and reimbursement for eligible flight-change fees. The ship remained docked in Vancouver until repairs were finished, after which a new Alaska itinerary resumed with a Sept. 6 sailing.
