Plinio Cruz, the longtime coach of UFC star Alex Pereira, won his professional boxing debut via a second-round knockout of Gary Olive at Misfits Boxing's 'Essex vs Dapper' event in London on October 10. The bout occurred after Misfits heavyweight champion Chase DeMoor withdrew due to injury, prompting his own coach, Olive, to step in as a replacement. Cruz, who lost 100 pounds to make weight, delivered a series of left hooks to secure the victory in 58 seconds. Following the win, Cruz publicly called out DeMoor, mocking the champion for failing to back up his corner.
