HVA Principal on Administrative Leave Following Potential Threat
The principal of Hardin Valley Academy, Dr. Rob Speas, has been placed on paid administrative leave following an incident where a gas valve was left on, causing the school to dismiss early. Michael Reynolds has been announced as the interim principal while a formal review is conducted by the Asst. Superintendent of Business and Talent, Jennifer Hemmelgarm, to assess the actions taken by the school and district leaders in response to the incident and the protocols and procedures in place to address similar situations.
